A blog about Pangya, written by a fruit?!

No honestly… I apologize for not writing anything on the blog in such a long time.

I have been really lazy. In the meantime a lot of stuff has happened, Ntreev has banned 1250 accounts – of which most seem to be Brazilians. Sadly some of these Brazilians seem to be totally innocent. A few friends of mine got banned in this wave as well. However I am not going to comment on this situation here.

In other news I have shot a -38 on White Wiz, which was quite amazing. The round a had a lot of messed up teeshots and 3 ppics.. so I would not call it perfect in any way. I also had a look into Nintendo DS development using DevKitPro and wasted some timeĀ for no reason. It was interesting.

Let’s move on to some news about KR and general Pangya development. It seems that the new course is being worked on under the name of “Oriental Panda”. The USA Season 4 client seems to be taken straight from the latest code base of the game and therefore included some major spoilers about the new course. For example all the NPCs are already there, including full textures and 3d models. I am too lazy to extract all of them, so I will leave that to someone more passionate.

PS: Also all of the place holder images for the new course are written in Japanese – this indicates that the main development of Pangya has indeed moved to Japan.

Blue Lagoon: “True Distance” HIO Table

without comments

I researched these a while ago, very helpful when dunking or going for max pang with Beam Impact bonus. Also useful to tell if you need 7 or 8 spin on hole 15. I figured going by the Ntreev announcement “Sharing is caring!” – so here you go. Might add some more courses later.

Impress girls playing Pangya Portable on the Bus by helping them to chip

with one comment

Some people really have too much time on their hands, clearly I am one of those people. So here is my latest project:

Pangya 6i Calculator running on Rockbox

Pangya 6i Calculator running on Rockbox

The whole thing is running on the totally awesome open source firmware for MP3 players – Rockbox.

This thing was actually a bitch to make since every change required a complete recompile of Rockbox, since all plugins have to be build in directly into the core. That is probably the only thing I don’t like about Rockbox.

It’s still pretty buggy and I don’t plan on actually using this, after all it was just made to waste some time. However, once Pangya Portable drops and gets popular with the girls, this will definitely help me to get laid! Yes! Either that or I wake up.. Hmm!

Actual comparison of the power-gauge increasing rings

with 4 comments

I was gonna write this up since a while, now I finally had the chance to compare all of the rings, since I won the Star Cat Ring the other day.

So here you go:

No RingMystic RingHybrid RingStar Cat RingSo after several mistranslations on various site it seems like the true effect of the Mystic Ring is that it only increases your gauge whenever you use an item. Sadly this does not include stuff like Silent Winds or Spin Mastery and therefore only applies to Power Potions or the generic Lucky Pangya Stars. What a lame ring. Unless you use a lot of stars I see no real need for this ring. My personal favourite is without a doubt the Hybrid Ring. Being the only ring that actually gives an initial starting bonus to your power gauge the 2 yards make it even nicer!

I have given up on trying to get myself a Crimson Ring, so this one will have to do for a while.
